A beautiful Benavente bass guitar in excellent near-mint condition. This looks to be one of Chris Benavente's earliest masterpieces and the craftsmanship shines throughout. It's one of the prettiest instruments you will see and it sounds and plays fantastic. It is all-original and features a stunning roasted curly maple top, mahogany back, satin maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, active Bartolini pickups with EQ, and a Hipshot Gotoh Extender tuning key. It has a 34" scale length with a 1.79" nut width. It has 3/8" string spacing at the nut and 5/8" spacing at the bridge. The neck thickness measures 0.936" at the 1st fret and 1.011" at the 12th fret. The bass weighs 10.58 pounds.
The bass is in great condition with no issues to note and zero visible fretwear. There is less wear on this than anything hanging on the wall of your local music store. There might be some light handling wear and that is it, perhaps a couple pinpoint marks that can only be seen under direct lighting. The truss rod had been tested and responds. All electronics work exactly as it should.
Includes a hardshell case that is in fair condition. The handle and all latches work, but there is visible wear throughout.
Chris Benavente has devoted the past 16 years of his life to the art and function of the guitar and bass. More of an obsession than a passion, he takes great pride in creating a medium for fellow artists to create on. Chris strives to build instruments that are dependable, as well as inspirational. Whether a simplistic design or an elaborate creation, each Benavente instrument receives the same level of care and detail to achieve the highest quality.
