1964 Gibson Melody Maker 3/4 Electric Guitar with a Sunburst finish. This vintage Gibson is 100% all original. There have been no modifications, breaks, cracks, or repairs of any kind. It is in very good condition for its age and plays great! It has a beautiful vintage vibe to it and the pickup sounds delightful. It has just been setup and intonates perfectly. It weighs a mere 5.49 pounds and has a 1.568" nut width. The neck thickness measures 0.810" at the 1st fret.
The original sunburst finish still shines and looks great overall. There is the usual heavy finish-checking throughout, and lots of scuffs around the edges. The pickguard has light pick marks. There are some light scratches in the back but no heavy worming. The back of the neck is smooth with only a handful of marks. The Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard is gorgeous with only a couple indentations. The frets have just been polished and there is tons of fret life, with a little visible wear on the first three frets under the B and G strings. No issues with the nut. The truss rod works. The very top edges of the headstock has some scuffing. All tuners work great but one tuner is missing a bushing, which are very easy to find. All electronics work perfectly and all solder joints look untouched. The serial number on the potentiometer dates to 1963.
Does not include a case.
